I’m not starting over because I failed, but I’m starting over because I have evolved and deeply changed as a person.
I’ve had something happen in my life the past few months that has created a lot of emotional rollercoasters I had to work through and face, so I haven’t been able to show up as fully as I did once upon a time ago…
But honestly, that’s not a bad thing.
I’m learning to control myself and my emotions more, and along with it I’ve been striving to take better care of myself. I know in the past I’ve been an advocate for self-care, but now I am TRULY taking care of myself. Not just the kind of self-care you do because you feel like you have to do it, but the kind where you’re intentional about it, and it energizes you.
If you’re newer here I figured I should briefly introduce myself. My name is Isabella aka Bella and I am currently a 29-year-old mom to 5 boys.
So as you can imagine, my life isn’t the most aesthetic or “perfect.” But I do enjoy finding ways to make life easier and more functional for myself so that I can live as stress free as possible, and what I’ve found so far with taking better care of myself is that my mood is truly better. My emotions are more manageable, and when I’m able to keep that all under control, my kids are easier to handle, and they are more helpful and responsible themselves.
So all around, taking better care of myself = win-win on all sides.
Now, what am I doing to take care of myself you ask?? Well currently I’ve been aiming to get at least 10k steps in daily. I usually just walk back and forth through my house because I don’t have one of those fancy walking pads (maybe one day I will), but gotta make use of the resources I do have. So walking back and forth through my house does the trick. I know I struggled with this a lot in the past trying to squeeze in just 5k steps a day, but now because my kids are able to keep themselves better entertained while I take care of myself, I have been starting to hit 10k steps per day at least.
Besides walking 10k steps a day I also created a little workout routine for myself using chatGPT. I told it to act as a professional personal trainer, then I gave it the equipment I had on hand as well as what my goals were over the course of 8-12 weeks and it curated a weekly schedule for me. So I’m trying that out. So far, so good!
I’m also aiming to get enough protein in per day and eating healthier meals. Now, I don’t like to overcomplicate things because I LOVE simple, so I go for as simple meals as possible. One meal I love making is chicken salad in my food processor, and putting it on some toasted protein bread. Super quick and easy!

Doesn’t it look good?
Another thing I’ve been doing is making sure I drink a full bottle of water in the morning before I eat breakfast, and drinking more water in general. Currently my body is in the phase of holding the extra water weight, but hopfully that will drop off soon as my body learns to trust that I will give it enough water.
I feel like I’ve listed so many things already, but I also am simplifying my skincare, and haircare a lot more. I have textured skin, large pores and occasional breakouts so I’ve curated a simple routine that would help me have more moisturized bouncy skin that I will be trying out.
I also take supplements for my hormones and my favorite is probably Primal Queen. I’ve been taking Primal Queen for about 4 months now, but I stopped taking it the past 3 weeks because I had to hold off on renewing my subscription. But let me tell you, my skin has been breaking out and when I was on Primal Queen, my skin rarely broke out around my period. I finally have my Primal Queen again and I’ve taken it for two days so far, so my skin should clear up again *fingers crossed.* If you’re interested in Primal Queen, it’s essentially beef organs that contain vitamins that we tend to lack especially women, and you can check more out on them here and get 10% off using my link, but also consult your doctor or try it at your own discretion as I’m not qualified to give medical advice.
Something else I’d love to focus more on is gua sha or facial massage. I don’t do this consistently, but once I finally do start doing it consistently, I look forward to providing the updates and results.
Now for haircare, I once had really LONG hair and if you followed my instagram since the beginning you would likely know that. But then I got it cut off, and now I want to grow it out even more healthy. I follow most of the advice the Blowout Professsor gives on his channel, and I also LOVE his products. It’s one of the most simple routines I have found for hair, although I do a little extra for my hair besides the regular routine sometimes too.

Also, isn’t it so funny that my hair appears more red in sunlight? It also can look more red depending on the clothes I wear. Apparently I’m a Soft Autumn palette and this is a trait that is usualy carried with that.
I could probably keep adding things to this list honestly, but that’s the jist of it. If you’re interested in following my updates to see how I evolve over time into the best version of myself on both the inside and the outside, then please give me a follow.
And let me know in the comments what your favorite self-care routine is for yourself? And don’t forget to like this if you read all the way though.
