When Your Brain Feels Like a Browser with 100 Tabs Open
For the longest time, I thought I had a focus problem.
Too many tasks. Too many tabs open. Too much life happening all at once.
But what I really had was mental clutter... all those little decisions and “don’t forgets” swirling around in my head.
And it wasn’t until I started simplifying even further; not with another planner or app, but with a physical, reusable system, that everything began to shift.
That’s where The Chaos Cure came from.
A set of reusable, laminated charts designed to help you build a consistent weekly rhythm so you can finally breathe again.
“Confidence in Chaos: You Don’t Need a Perfect Home”
From Split Focus to Sustainable Simplicity
When I first started experimenting with productivity, I came up with something called My 3 Split Focus Method.
Each day, I’d pick three top priorities in each of these categories; self-care, home, business, and get those done first. It helped me stop trying to do everything and focus on what mattered most.
And while that method worked beautifully for a season, it wasn’t totally sustainable. Some days, three tasks just weren’t enough especially when you’re running a household with 5 boys, homeschooling, managing a business, and trying to take care of yourself.
That realization led me to what I’ve now been using called The Chaos Cure.
Instead of reinventing the wheel each day, I wanted something I could rely on; a repeatable, visual system that mapped out all the weekly rhythms that keep my life running.
The Simplicity Framework
The heart of The Chaos Cure is what I call The Simplicity Framework.
It’s built around one truth:
Consistency creates results.
That’s it.
You don’t need a hundred apps or routines that change every month. You just need one clear system… something you’ll actually use to help you stay steady and sane…. something that simplifies decisions and keeps you consistent.
Here’s how it works:
1. Choose What Repeats Weekly
Think of this as your “autopilot” list: skincare, meals, workouts, housework. They repeat every week, But when they only live in your head, they take up mental space you could be using elsewhere.
2. Write Them Into a Weekly Cycle
Each chart follows a repeatable weekly schedule, so you always know what’s next.
For example: in skincare, you only need a few basic products that actually work. Written down, they become a steady consistent routine instead of a guessing game.
(I’ll link my simple skincare routine post here once it’s live; it’s proof you don’t need to chase every shiny new trend on TikTok to get results.)
3. Laminate & Reset
Use special laminating sheets with your laminator (trust me… not all of them erase well) and my favorite dry-erase markers. The best part? Wiping them clean each week feels like a total refresh and quick reset moment.
4. Place Them Where They Belong
Each chart lives where it’s most useful… skincare in the bathroom, meals in the kitchen, chores in the laundry room or your fridge, workouts near your gear. You’ll see it, you’ll do it, and your brain will stop spinning in a million circles.
Why This Works
It’s simple psychology.
Our brains crave clarity and closure. When tasks are floating around in your mind, they never fully resolve. But when you write them down, you create visible order, and that releases mental pressure.
Plus, when you’re consistent, you start to see real results… just like sticking with a workout routine. It’s not about doing everything; it’s about doing the right things repeatedly to build momentum.
That’s the difference between burnout and balance.

Why It’s Different
Most planners are built for your ideal self.
The one who has endless time and perfect handwriting.
But The Chaos Cure is built for your real life.
The messy, busy, beautiful one you’re living right now.
And unlike apps that you forget to open or paper planners that collect dust, these charts become part of your environment… visual cues that remind you what’s already decided.
It’s not about controlling your day.
It’s about freeing your mind.
From Chaos to Calm
As a mom of five, I needed something that didn’t rely on memory or motivation. I needed a framework that could hold all the moving parts of my week; meals, workouts, skincare, chores… all without holding me hostage.
