Hair loss is one of those things you never think will happen… until you’re standing in the shower, staring at more hair in your hands than usual, wondering what changed?
For me, it started a few months after taking a popular supplement called Primal Queen. At first, I didn’t think much of it. But week after week, I noticed more shedding. More strands on my pillow. More discouragement every time I brushed my hair.
I tried to stay patient, but deep down I knew something was off. I had been through this before after covid, and I remembered how frustrating that helpless feeling was.
So instead of spiraling into panic (or buying twenty new products out of stress), I decided to pause. Simplify. And go back to what worked before.
That’s when I found California Naturals.
I loved their ingredients list; clean, gentle, and packed with the kind of nourishing oils and proteins that helped me the last time my hair needed a reset. I ordered a few products to test out and decided to share my honest first impressions after one use.
Spoiler: my hair felt softer, lighter, and dried faster than usual.
The scent? Earthy and subtle, like the kind of “natural” that actually feels grounding and calming instead of perfumey and overpowering.
The texture? Lightweight but still moisturizing.
The overall vibe? Simple. No 12-step routine, no scalp stress… just a few solid basics that make my routine feel calm again.
Here’s what I used/purchased:
2-in-1 Shampoo & Body Wash (got this one for the kids)
(These are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them; thank you for supporting my work and this journey)
For full transparency, I’m also taking Pumpkin Seed Oil pills right now. I know that means I won’t be able to pinpoint exactly what’s helping my hair the most, but that’s okay. If I can stack a few simple wins together and feel more supported in the process, that feels like progress to me.
Because California Naturals already makes my hair feel good; softer, lighter, and healthier overall, and that alone is enough of a reason to keep going.
This isn’t a “before and after” miracle story. It’s just a real one. A starting point. I’ll be sharing updates along the way as I see what happens, because I think it’s important to normalize the middle of the process.
If you’ve tried California Naturals, I’d love to hear your experience below. What worked, what didn’t, and how your hair felt after switching.
